Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship Tournament 2004 is a card game on the Game Boy Advance.

Introduce about Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship Tournament 2004

The game is known in Japan as Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Expert 3. It is based on a popular manga series Yu-Gi-Oh!, developed by Konami. The mechanics of the game closely resemble Yu-Gi-Oh! The Eternal Duelist Soul, with only slight changes.

Gameplay

Yu-Gi-Oh! There are 2 game rules that are Dice Monsters and Duel Monsters. Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship Tournament 2004 will follow the Duel Monsters rules. You will use magic cards to fight other people. Whoever’s Life Points drop to 0 first, that player loses. The game will focus on collecting magic cards and playing against the AI, not following any storyline. This is a tactical card game, you have to calculate your every move properly to be able to win the opponent.

Card decks

At the beginning of the game, you get a Basic Deck consisting of 120 cards. They are evenly divided into 3 decks, each containing 40 cards. You can choose any deck to play against your opponent. All three decks still have some of the same cards, but there’s a big difference in Normal Monster. The main card is Dark Magician, but to summon you will have to sacrifice 2 monsters on the field. In addition, each deck will have different Spell Cards and Trap Cards, so you should pay attention to the player’s deck to choose the appropriate card.

Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship Tournament 2004 contains 1138 cards, including 201 Spell Cards, 109 Trap Cards, 55 Fusion Monsters, 16 Ritual Monsters, 224 Effect Monsters, and 533 Normal Monsters. Some cards with different artwork such as Dark Magician and Polymerization also count as 2 different cards. To own other cards you will have to buy packs of cards in the shop, using Duelist Points received after each match. Some hidden card packs will be unlocked when you gain achievements.

Rivals

28 cards will be pitted against you in this game. Each one will have their own playing style of cards and deck and evolve based on their background. For example, Yugi Muto is a basic player, average opponent but when defeated they will transform into Yami Yugi with high difficulty. But don’t worry because in the beginning you will meet players with simple decks, and you can easily win. But surely you also want to try against strong people like Kaiba, Yugi, Pegasus… First, let’s collect the cards and create yourself a complete deck.

Graphics

The graphics of the game remain at a simplified level, on the field will only display the color to characterize the card, not the drawing. However, when two monsters battle, there is a slight battle animation. Besides, when you activate a monster’s effect, the trap card will also have the card’s animation pop up which looks pretty cool.
