Yu-Gi-Oh! The Eternal Duelist Soul is a card game on the Game Boy Advance, based on the popular manga Yu-Gi-Oh!.
Introduce about Yu-Gi-Oh! The Eternal Duelist Soul
The game was published by Konami in 2002. It is a remake of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 5: Expert 1. Of course, the rules of the duel were remaining the same, only some cards will be discarded compared to the original version. About 100+ cards have been omitted as inappropriate and follow the May 2001 card list.
When participating in the game, you will choose 1 of 3 decks, black, red or blue. Each deck has a different number of cards. All three decks own some popular cards such as Trap Hole, Summoned Skull, Monster Reborn, Pot of Greed… The game still focuses on fighting with AI and collecting cards through magic card matches.
What about your rivals?
The system divides your opponent into 5 tiers, each tier will have 4-5 card players. For each tier, you will have to beat each player a certain number of times before you can open a new tier. Some hidden cards require you to collect enough cards, win a tournament, own a card… to unlock it. But that only exists at tier 5. In lower tiers, you only need to beat each person 2-4 times to unlock a new tier along with all the cards in that tier.
Use the cards you own to create new decks. In each match, you can get some Duelist Points that can be used in the shop to buy card packs. Alternatively, you can use your password card to unlock new cards. Each card is a sequence of 8 characters, you can find it on the Internet. This game owns up to 819 cards, some hidden packs in the shop will be unlocked when you complete the hidden mission.
In this version, Konami has brought the Multiplayer feature into the game. With this feature, you can play cards with your friends, just 2 devices are connected to each other is enough. Not necessarily the Game Boy Advance, but the current GBA gaming emulators also support the feature of connecting 2 devices via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
The graphic design of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Eternal Duelist Soul is quite simple. This is a game that was released in 2002, so the graphics technology is still very primitive. Moreover, for a GBA game, it only contains a fairly small capacity so that the machine can read and play smoothly. Therefore, the graphics have to be extremely simple.
