Gameplay

The mechanics of the game remain the same. You jump on top of enemies to take them down. Items

All the basic items like Super Mushroom, Fire Flower, Starman, and Cape Feather remain in this remake. However, Yoshi has a new ability. Yoshi is a dinosaur, also known as the assistant of the Mario brothers. This game features blue, green, yellow, and red Yoshi, and you can ride any Yoshi when you find an egg. In addition, they also have another ability that is holding the Koopa shell in the mouth. Meanwhile, they have a special ability depending on the color of the Yoshi you ride.

Graphics

Because the original version was designed for Snes, it’s somewhat simple, and the colors are not pretty. On the Game Boy Advance, the publisher has reduced the resolution to match the Game Boy Advance and lightened the color palettes to make them more suitable for the lack of a backlight.

The sound

Referring to the sound, the first thing worth noting is that the background music has a little change. All the music’s quality was significantly downgraded because the GBA’s sound chip was inferior to Snes. The characters Mario and Luigi are still voiced by Charles Martinet as the original version. Boos are added to the laughter effect, and Koopalings will scream when thrown into a lava lake.
