TerraGenesis (Unlimited Money, Unlock All Planets) is a simulation game in which you can use science and technology to nurture the atmosphere, creating the life for planets in the solar system. From there, people can live and exploit resources on other planets.
This is an ambitious project of the Tilting Point publisher. We used to manage a kingdom in Clash of Clans, but have you ever thought of managing a planet?
For a long time, people have dreamed of conquering other planets in the universe. Does exist some planet that we can live like Earth? Is there life in the universe? In the future, can humans live on another planet? Many questions are raised but we still don’t have a satisfactory answer. Forget it! Let explore some planets with me in this game.
Create a planet of your own
After you open the game, TerraGenesis gives you instructions and suggestions to create a planet to suit your needs. If you don’t know what terraforming means, you can understand that it is a process of improving and changing natural conditions that make the planet fit for humans. First, there are four optional planets for you including Mars, Venus, Moon, and Ragnarok. I choose Mars because it is the most easily renovated planet, suitable for new players. In fact, according to scientists, Mars is also the planet with the most similar environmental conditions to Earth. Other choices may be more difficult if you are a player who likes challenges.
Basically, the gameplay of TerraGenesis consists of three main parts of construction, exploitation, and research. No matter which planet you are using, you need to pay attention to the water, oxygen, subsistence, pressure, temperature, and biomass. These indicators determine whether your planet is eligible for a living. If not enough, your inhabitants cannot live and of course, you cannot exploit resources on that planet.
Mars is a vast and airless desert, Venus has an atmosphere thicker than sea level with temperatures hot enough to melt metals like lead. Improving these planets is not something you can complete in an hour. It requires you to wholeheartedly try to make a week or a month to successfully renovate the planet’s terrain. Moreover, the terrain of the planet is not cheap. It costs a few million golds if you want a stable terrain. If you don’t do this well, it can completely destroy the ecosystem and kill the inhabitants living on it.
After you successfully renovate your planet and have a large population, start researching new technology. Technologies will help you in exploiting resources on the planet but beware because sometimes it causes an adverse effect on the planet’s ecosystem. Carbon is the cheapest and easiest to exploit element. You can use your technology to find or create more expensive elements like rhodium or diamond.
Of course. Like the Earth, the first creatures that appear are bacteria. You can drop many types of bacteria into the planet, waiting for them to proliferate over time, you will have an ecosystem of species such as reptiles, herbivores, aquatic animals, predator, … and finally humanity. Although you are like God, who can decide life and death for creatures but be careful. If you remove a species from the ecosystem, other animals may be affected, leading to the destruction of all organisms. Find out carefully before you intend to do this.
Not only is a great mobile simulation game, but TerraGenesis is also a vast knowledge base for those who are interested and curious about the universe and related knowledge. Open The Archives, you can search for any information or documents you want. Since you are responsible for an entire planet, take the time to learn new knowledge and then apply them to your planet.
Graphics and sound
The graphics of TerraGenesis have nothing too special to talk about, but in general, it is done quite well. The game has good image quality and physical rules that resemble reality. Most of the time, you can watch your barren planet turn slowly at an angle like a NASA satellite. Music too, simple and somewhat dull.
Overall, I think TerraGenesis is a great simulation game, suitable for players who are interested in the universe theme. Renovating and building an ecosystem on a dead planet is impossible for anyone, but that is possible in this game.
